I’m going to try really hard to NOT make all my blog posts about Fresno food, but the more and more local restaurants I hear about, the more and more I wanna check out Fresno’s digs.
Today Chance and I visited a GREAT breakfast place over by the Fig Garden loop called Batter Up. It was my second time there and it was just as great as the first time. The atmosphere is kick back cracker jack with mismatched decor on the walls as well as pictures of customers scattered here and there. You order at the counter and then they kindly bring you your food. They’re known for their breakfast (pancakes mainly) however, they also serve lunch. I haven’t tried their sandwiches yet, but they look delish. The staff was super friendly and quick on their toes. Batter Up is a family owned business and the same family also owns Great Harvest Bread (all I have to say about that place is CINNAMON BREAD! HEY-OH! I’m telling you…SO GOOD).
Chance and I split the omelet/pancake/fruit combo and it didn’t disappoint. The pancake melted in my mouth, I’m getting hungry again just thinking about it.
Are you wondering where to go for your next after church breakfast and you’re sick of the corporate man at Mimi’s? Go to Batter Up and have an extra pancake for me.
I was trying to act like I was up to bat. People were starring.
Now, this logo does kinda make me uncomfortable for some reason, but as long as this little guy didn’t get near my pancakes I’m okay with him.
Veggie omelet with fruit mix and doughy pancake. YUM!
