I Heart Fresno Weddings: Location, Location, Location
November 18, 2010 § 1 Comment
Now that I have a ring, where are we going to do this wedding?!
With my deep seeded love for all things wedding and all things Fresno I’m thinking some place unique and some place that is quintessentially Fresno. We’re working with a limited budget, so I also have to be aware of cost and getting the deal possible.
I’ve been in love with unique weddings for a very long time. I am an obsessive wedding blog stalker, here are some of my favorites, just to name a few: green wedding shoes, grey likes weddings (featuring a local wedding!), & wedding chicks.
What I love about many of the weddings featured on these sites are the personal details and the intimate feel of the weddings. They seem very representative of the couples. I think that’s what modern brides are looking for. Not the sheet cake church reception halls of yester-year or even the country clubs, but something that sets their day apart from the rest.
In my search for creative wedding locations in Fresno I came across something truly unique. Enter Cortney Kizirian with Central Valley Historic Estates. Imagine if your parents had a mansion and you got married in their backyard. Pretty awesome right. These estates are simply BEAUTIFUL. Did I mention the shots of the estates were taken by hubby of I Heart Fresno, Chance James?!
Here’s one of my favorites on her list of gorgeous estates. A brand new location as in no one else has had their wedding there yet!! Check out these pics of her latest estate in Woodward Lakes. Photo by Chance James.
I’m obsessed! I mean the double staircase, the marble floors, the ivy… just kill me now! I love this because these places feel like a destination wedding, but don’t have the added inconvenience and cost of travel.
Cortney is absolutely fabulous in every way. No matter what kind of bride you are and what style you have, you’re going to want to check her out. Tell that sweet thing that we said hi.
